The Cloppers Mill Marlins

CLOPPER’S MILL
MARLINS
CLEAN SWEEP IN 2007!
The Clopper’s Mill Marlins Swim Team posted a perfect record, winning all duel meet and special events this summer swim season. After a close win over rival Lakelands, the Marlin swimmers powered through the pool to bring home its second 1st place trophy since it joined the Montgomery County Swim League (www.mcsl.org) just 3 years ago! After starting in the entry level “Division O” the Marlins have advanced up the division ladder and will be competing in “Division K” in 2008. The team was led by first year President, Elisha Ehnes, who did a fantastic job organizing the many parent volunteers that work to make the season a success.
The Clopper’s Mill Marlins Swim Team is open to children age 6 through 18 who reside in the Clopper’s Mill West and Clopper’s Mill East neighborhoods. The swim season begins toward the end of the school year and continues through the end of July. Two experienced coaches lead weekday practices that focus on improving technique and endurance. The young, pre-competition, swimmers have a dedicated swim coach and comprise the Marlins Pre-Team. The team hosts many fun events throughout the season, including an end-of-the-season pool party! Please visit the Marlin’s website at www.cmmarlins.com for more information. Registration for the 2008 swim season will begin in the Spring.
